MEGADETH HITS THE STUDIO IN THE UK!

Guitarist Glen Drover has posted the following message in the "Forums" section nof the band's official web site:

"We are now on day 7 of recording here in England and everything is going very well. Shawn is recording a drum track as a write this letter to you, which will be his sixth track to complete. Last night I had completed two guitar tracks, which i am very happy with. Not only with my performance, but the guitar tone is awesome! As far as bass, James has completed five tracks, so we are all in good shape for sure. Aside from all of this, we are all enjoying the studio very much here in England and of course, recording the new MEGADETH album!"

May 9, 2005...Message from James!

Hello ladies & gentleman, boys & girls, fellow musicians, bassists, artists and welcome to my little corner of the web. I’m glad you found your way here and I’m looking forward to pontificating (ad nauseam) about all kinds of things as the months go by, music, movies, bass playing, strange interplanetary events, what ever! Feel free to add your own two cents on the forum page of your choice whenever the spirit moves you, I generally love to hear what my fellow artisans are on about. Anyone who knows me knows I love to look at things through others eye’s so don’t check yer peepers at the door, let me know how stuff looks to you from your perspective. Mostly, I want to share with you some interesting and maybe not so interesting things that happen to occur to me as I travel through this existence on the planet surface and I’d like you to do the same.

As some of you may know, I’ve been playing bass in some of your favorite bands for some time now. Some times it amazes me when I look back at all the great musicians I’ve had the privilege of working with. Zakk Wylde, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, Mr. David Lee Roth to name a few. And all the friends and fans I’ve made and met. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a very fortunate individual indeed. Check out my photo gallery and see some of my personal stash of photos that I’ve managed to scalp over the years. Stop by the Bass Corner, you may not hear anything new here but that’s ok, my mission is to re-affirm what we bassists really dig about wielding the 4-5-6 & 8-string giant rhythmic behemoths. Got any questions regarding anything you may have heard? Seen? Been? It’s time to “Ask J-Lo”. I’m not an accredited psychic but I can make up a lot of stuff that might be just as helpful or, I can simply answer any of your burning questions about myself. In any event, hit me with your best shot and I’ll do my best to seemingly evade and then ultimately comply with your requests.

Anyway, make yourself at home, put your feet up on a bass bin, order a pizza and hang out as long as you like.

Welcome all,

The original J-Lo
